Who We Are

EXECUTIVE PRODUCER, WRITER, & CREATOR JOHN PESCITELLI

John Pescitelli’s poetic journey began as a spirited high school honor student majoring in mathematics, science, and Russian language studies at Xaverian High School, where brilliance met passion and curiosity bloomed. He dazzled minds by challenging Newton’s theory of gravity and was inspired by the cosmic marvels ignited during the space race of the 1950s and 1960s, culminating in humanity’s breathtaking leap to the moon in 1969. Ambitious yet grounded, John pursued mathematics and physics at New York Polytechnic Institute, where he introduced Matrix Algebra to the curriculum and envisioned a groundbreaking career in astrophysics. Fatherhood reshaped his path, drawing him into the world of actuarial consulting, where his innovative genius flourished. John is president and CEO of a national employee benefits and technology company, and his vision revolutionized industries, mastering technological systems with transformative flair.

Galvanized by the events of 9/11, John became a staunch advocate for the Zadroga Bill, ensuring vital benefits for first responders. His passion extends to unraveling history’s intricacies, particularly WWII, and delving into the psychology of human aggression. Happily married with children and grandchildren, he treasures family alongside a profound admiration for visionaries like Da Vinci, Galileo, and Einstein. From NYC skyscrapers to the cosmos, John embodies relentless curiosity, blending intellect with an enduring drive to leave the world better than he found it. His hope is that Genesis Revisited will initiate a dialogue, not only among the leaders of the most powerful countries of the world, all of which possess nuclear arsenals capable of destroying planet earth and everyone in it but initiating a dialogue among all the members of the species we call human beings. These leaders have the ability to ensure our future and our very survival.

This is John’s message: “We don’t have a choice. The time is now to eliminate nuclear weapons!” It has been almost 80 years since the bombing of Hiroshima, where Genesis Revisited begins. There have been several close calls since then. As many mathematicians will attest, the odds of an Armageddon-scale catastrophe are increasing daily. The global community must respond and not leave our future to the vagaries of fate and politics. John's story is one of relentless pursuit, boundless curiosity, and a fervent desire to make the world a better place. His journey, as is the epic Genesis Revisited, are both testaments to the indomitable human spirit.
